Eight Days of Hope was in Louisiana serving Lafayette Parish. Thousands of families were in need of help as they waited to rebuild following the record flooding last year! This area experienced devastating damage. 140,000 homes were damaged in the state in August as over 20 inches of rain fell in a short period of time causing over $15 billion dollars of damage! Thank you for praying, volunteering or donating to this cause as we served from June 4th through the 11th, 2017.
EDOH President Stephen Tybor III said, “Thousands of families in the area are trying to figure out how they can rebuild their homes because of the mass damage. Those who are waiting for assistance in the rebuilding process are looking for help, for hope. Eight Days of Hope’s goal is to bring a ray of hope to those who are in need and to help them rebuild their homes. We are excited to partner with Love Acadiana and local leaders to bless as many as possible.”
