Eight Days of Hope VIII

Smithville, MS / Hackleburg, AL
October 29-November 5, 2011

1,858 volunteers from 43 states helped rebuild 70 homes and two churches that were destroyed by a 200 mile per hour tornado.

Our eighth trip was close to our home city of Tupelo, Mississippi. This trip was unlike any other as we served two cities. Hackleburg, Alabama and Smithville, Mississippi were devastated by the same tornado in April of 2011.

Logistics were tough as the cities are separated by roughly 40 miles but God allowed us to minister to many as we boarded buses and vans to travel back and forth!

A special night of fellowship was help at The Ramp where Blues Council and Phil Keaggy performed to help raise monies and awareness for the areas affected by the tornado.
