Being a full-time missionary has been an amazing experience. We have been privileged to be on the front lines serving with a ministry that serves all around the country in disaster areas. And the most amazing part is we get to see God move in people's lives on a daily basis: bringing hope and restoring families to wholeness. God is so good.
For me, being a full-time missionary wasn’t a decision of the mind or a desire of my heart, but a prayer filled calling to me and my husband by God to do his work. God gives us all gifts and passions and he gives us opportunities to use them for his glory. It is a true blessing and honor to serve as full-time missionaries with Eight Days of Hope. The families and the volunteers we have met along the way have become a part of our family. We feel we are where God wants us to be at this time in our lives.
Becoming a full-time missionary is freeing and slightly scary at the same time. It has moved us even further into dependence on God to provide our needs. Serving others, whether away or at home, is what we have all been called to do and we feel blessed beyond measure to do just that. We are grateful for the opportunity Eight Days of Hope, Global Outreach, our home church, and the many others who have partnered with us. They make our full-time service possible.
