What type of work will we be doing?
Over 140 families suffered damage to their homes because of the F2 tornado that hit this region just days ago. We will tarp roofs, clean up debris, do chainsaw work and help families salvage what they can. We are looking forward to ministering to the homeowners and the entire community.
How can you help?
Volunteer or donate! Spread the word! Forward this e-mail to all your friends & family and/or post on your social media pages. Also, “like” our social media sites and share the information we post! Pray fervently that we (our leadership team and volunteers) Love and Serve all we come in contact with!
When can a volunteer arrive?
Volunteers can arrive after 6:30 pm on Thursday, April 19th. Please do not arrive at our headquarters before this time. Please do not contact the church directly. You can email us at email@example.com or call 662.255.7565.
When is the first meal and when will Eight Days of Hope leave Meridian?
Our first meal will be breakfast on Friday, April 20th . The last full day to serve is Saturday, April 28th. Our last meal will be a continental breakfast on the 29th.
Where is the Eight Days of Hope headquarters/lodging going to be set up at?
Our host church is: North Crest Baptist Church, 3412 North Hill Street, Meridian, MS. 39305.
What should a volunteer bring?
Bible, Sleeping Bag/Air Mattress, toiletries, towels, sunscreen, flashlights, ear plugs, rain gear, work boots, leather gloves, bug spray, flip flops for shower trailer, a case of water or Gatorade.
